Online and offline shoppers want tech that’s functional not flashy – Report

While much of the talk in retail is around multichannel shopping, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that many consumers are still attached to a single channel. For an increasing number of them, that channel is online.
A report from VMWare, an enterprise software specialist, has suggested that as many as one in four UK consumers will completely stop visiting physical stores in the next three years.
